rill rill not ring ring

Have you ever heard of the noise dance/pop band duo called Sleigh Bells?

-- yes! Sweet!!
------- no? well then you should!, because they are skyrocketing in the indie music scene. Which was full of buzz about them even before alexis krauss (formerly of a girl group called Rubyblue) and derek miller (formerly of hardcore band Poison the Well) recorded an album. Their unlikely meeting at a restaurant Miller worked at lead to their band formation. Through their myspace they released their songs of LOUD guitars and pop screams and whispers through the interwebs.

Before Treats, their first album released through M.I.A.'s record label NEET, I was constantly playing their songs like "Crown on the Ground", "Infinity Guitars", and "Rill rill" which was what some people and I thought was ring ring based on the song's lyrics but whatever. All the songs are meant to be played loud, some scream like "infinity guitars", while others are soft and sweet like "rill rill". Their album released May 11, 2010, and I am loving all the tracks. So....

This is a neat-o (I'm bringing it back just like rachel ray) band whose music needs to blow out speakers at a party or on the dance floor. The lyrics are so catchy, even if you don't know what they quite mean; the melodies are still stuck in my head. So you better check out this upcoming band; they are now opening for/touring with Yeasayer (who I saw live at my school and they were pretty good). Gosh-darn-it! I really really want to see them Live, I bet they'll blow my socks off!
